Véronique Basch joined HPM in September 2004 as Head of Drug Safety. She first acquired international experience in California and scientific research experience in the University Hospital of Zürich. She then started her career in drug safety at Novartis where she stayed four years: first at Novartis Ophthalmics as a Medical Safety Expert and then at Novartis Pharma as a Team Leader in the Global Safety Operations group. In this position she was involved in all aspects of pharmacovigilance and drug safety including data management, training, medical analysis, PSUR writing, quality assurance, project management, and people management. Veronique Basch holds a PharmD from the University Louis Pasteur (Strasbourg, France), and later graduated as a University Professional in Pharmaceutical Medicine in the University of Basel. |

Kerstin Karbe-Lauener, MD Senior Consultant Safety Physician |

Kerstin Karbe-Lauener is a co-founder of HPM Healthcare & Project Management (Geneva) SA. She graduated as MD at the University of Magdeburg (Germany) and holds a degree in urology and pharmaceutical medicine. Before joining HPM, she was running her own private medical practice for several years in Germany. Areas of particular interest were microbiology and anti-infective therapy. During that time she gained experience as investigator in clinical research programs and completed several GCP training programs. Kerstin Karbe-Lauener acted as consultant to different pharmaceutical companies. |

Pierre-André Lauener is a co-founder of HPM Healthcare & Project Management (Geneva) SA. Before joining HPM he managed his own consulting business. He gathered his industrial expertise as Medical Director of Laboratoires OM SA and Cilag AG Switzerland, a Johnson & Johnson affiliate. He graduated as a medical doctor from the University of Zurich. He also holds a diploma of tropical medicine and a certificate of specialist in paediatrics and pharmaceutical medicine. He practised for several years in the Paediatric University hospitals in Zurich and Lausanne and was in charge for the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) as medical coordinator for Asia and Pacific. He is the author and co-author of numerous scientific publications. |
