HPM, recently acquired by UBC, is a contract research organisation offering services in the areas of drug safety, pharmacovigilance consultancy and risk management services. The recent acquisition of HPM by UBC will extend the activities to the development and implementation of risk evaluation and mitigation systems programs and performance-linked access systems. Our dedicated teams of physicians, pharmacists and scientists provide a full range of services in these areas tailored to meet the specific needs of our clients.
Your Position
As a Drug Safety Officer, you will be involved in drug safety data management, including the evaluation of individual clinical trial or post-marketing pharmacovigilance reports, writing case narratives, establishing causality assessments, classifying and identifying adverse events, requesting medically relevant follow-up information and reviewing information entered into the safety database. Furthermore, you will participate in other department function, e.g. literature review, preparation and writing of safety updates/reports, and answering queries from regulatory authorities. You will participate in the preparation of ad-hoc procedures, ensure high quality standards within the organization, and will contribute to the further development of the activities.
Your Profile
You have a university degree in pharmacy (or scientific equivalent degree) with a good medical knowledge or medicine, preferably with clinical experience. A successful previous experience in drug safety with knowledge of current regulatory requirements (e.g. ICH, FDA, EMEA) would be highly preferred. You are dynamic, autonomous and highly motivated. Excellent command of IT tools is a prerequisite. You have strong inter-personal skills and appreciate working in a team. You are flexible, responsible, detail-oriented and very organized. You are fluent in English with excellent communication and presentation skills. Good knowledge of French and German would be an advantage. You have a convincing personality and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
